Exploration Of Simplicity
Through these pieces, Agopian explores the human body with the most simple traits without taking away from the complexity of its production. In the first series, he experiences it with Indian Ink on wax paper to create a deep contrast of the subject versus the world. In the second series, he uses Acrylic on cotton with shades of red to bring the focus on the body. It’s an illustration of his technic and talent.Playing with shades on the lighter versions shows great realism in these pieces. Agopian is also using unique lines in the Indian Ink on wax paper canvas to create a patter of realism and debt despite giving a sense of abstract. These are some of his earliest pieces before he started to meddle into abstracts.
