Hand Made Paper

The main idea about the handmade papers is that they are influenced by the developments of the Lebanese Civil War. With the country divided into several lines of demarcations, and subdivided into sectarian towns and enclaves, the true identity of Lebanon was gradually disappearing in a haze of old nostalgia. Meanwhile, the intervention of foreign powers turned the conflict into a regional and international war. Thus, the odyssey of those who experienced this war is told and re-told in these artworks.
